Exempli gratia, doctors will view Coronavirus outbreak in terms of how it will affect the health of living individuals. For diplomats, they will try to analyze the newly-declared pandemic in terms of how it may influence the shift of geopolitical power.
Me? I’m just a 22-years old guy who’s currently working in marketing industry, but has also been paying attention to global economy and startup environment in general. My kind of “sport” is to find the next-big-thing and to always stay in the know about what’s trending and what’s on the brink of its sunset.

Just like the previous years where I usually wrote about self-reflection around my birthday, this time is no different. As you probably can tell from the title, I recently turned 22 just last week and you probably have no idea how old that makes me feel (despite how young I am!).
At 21 years old, I was tasked to lead a team much older and more experienced than I was. I was tasked to co-lead multiple marketing campaigns for clients, I was sent to multiple meetings as the company representative, and all the other responsibilities that I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else. Take a minute to think about all the things that can get you in the right mood. Start from the things that make you happy AND the things that you need to function.
Essentially, after many trials and errors, I can confidently say that improving your mood only obliges you to do one thing that (should) come easy: Be selfish.
The sad truth is, it doesn’t.
Your ability to stay focused and productive are key to achieving better results in the hours you’re supposed to be killing it. That’s why, with all the pressure and exhaustion imposed by your workplace, the least you can do is to get your body and mind in the right state before game time.

Sudah hampir satu tahun berlalu sejak terakhir kali ada tulisan yang gua bikin bener-bener dari hati, tanpa embel-embel mengedukasi pembaca. Banyak penyebabnya, mulai dari jadwal sehari-hari yang memang cukup padat, bingung mau berbagi cerita apa, sampai memang dasarnya gua lazy snob.
Malah, bisa jadi penyebabnya adalah penyakit yang paling fatal: gua kehilangan gairah menulis untuk sejenak.
Gua tipe orang yang mudah termotivasi, namun mudah pula untuk terdemotivasi. Pantikan semangat yang sederhana bisa membuat gua bangun dari kasur dan berdiri tegak seketika. Namun jangan salah, sekali saja punggung gua menyentuh kasur, mengangkatnya kembali hampir terdengar mustahil.

Waking up early is not for everybody. If you ask 100 successful person you can find, I bet you will meet a good portion of people who wake up as early as 10 or even 12 afternoon.
In fact, there is no sufficient research to say whether waking up at 5 will make your day more productive or not. That’s why it is quite foolish to deem yourself less productive compared to those who are early risers.
It’s not the time to wake up that you’re after. It’s the high quality, well-spent time with activities that can propel you forward that you should pursue, making your day as complete as it gets because it’s tailored in accordance with your biological needs.
However, that’s not the point that I’m trying to make here. While I believe you can get things done in any time you please, I also think that the right activities at certain time can get you the required spurt of momentum to get the best out of your day. So it’s kind of a mixed stance that can get you a very different response on, depending on where you stand.
